Workshop: Developing Successful Grant Proposals for Non Profits. Register now!

Dear St. Maarten NPO Boards and Directors,

After the successful NPOwer conference "It takes (more than) Two to Tango, we are excited to offer non-profit organizations the opportunity to participate in the exciting grant writing course “Developing Successful Grant Proposals”.

The space is limited to 20 persons, so we kindly ask you to register as soon as possible. Participants are requested to bring a laptop. For detailed information on content, time, venue and registration, please read the information below and the attached factsheet.

Who should attend? NPO leaders and anyone else responsible for the financial health of the organization.  The seminar is directed toward those both new to the field as well as those with some basic experience in grant-writing.

What to expect?  This highly engaging and interactive workshop will provide participants with essential skills for the entire life cycle of grant applications, from identifying and approaching grantors to developing project descriptions and full proposals, including measurements, outcomes and evaluation structures.  Participants will create a set of resources that they can put to use immediately for their organizations!

Workshop facilitator. Laura Hartman has served in leadership roles in the nonprofit sector for over twenty years and currently is Executive Director of an international NGO that oversees a trailblazing leadership education program in Haiti, the School of Choice / l’Ecole de Choix.  Prior to relocating to Sint Maarten, Hartman held a chair in leadership, strategy and ethics as a professor at DePaul University, where she was on the faculty since 1990.  Hartman has extensive, broad-based experience in grant-writing, prospect research, contributor / grantor relationships, reporting processes (including the development of metrics and log frames), strategic financial planning, budget development, and other areas of financial development, with a specific focus on issues relating to poverty alleviation, girls and women, and social justice.  She is responsible currently for identifying funding for Choix’s $1 million+ operation.

Admission Costs?

NPOwer member organizations:  FREE for 1 attendee
Non-NPOwer organizations: $99.00 per person
Individuals: $99 per person *subject to availability *NPO given first preference.
