WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
This interactive two-hour workshop is designed to help your non-profit organization enhance the use of the Volunteer.SX platform, effectively identify volunteer opportunities in your NPO and expand your reach with virtual volunteers from St. Maarteners living in the Netherlands.
Participants will receive hands-on guidance on how to optimize your engagement strategies, creating impactful volunteer roles and increasing volunteer participation both in-person and remotely. NPOwer has partnered with St. Maarten’s Plenipotentiary Minister in The Hague to share our volunteer opportunities with St. Maarteners living in the Netherlands through their database Through structured exercises, practical demonstrations, and collaborative discussions, you will also leave equipped with actionable steps to post opportunities that attract committed volunteers from here and The Netherlands. A key focus will be on creative volunteer recruitment, defining clear roles, and leveraging volunteer.sx to enhance participation.
Additionally, the workshop will help organizations identify tasks suitable for remote volunteers, establish clear expectations, and navigate challenges such as time zone differences. By the end of the session, participants will have at least five concrete volunteer opportunities ready for implementation in preparation for a Virtual Volunteering Initiative that Volunteer.sx is set to launch later this year.
