Facebook is a popular social networking website known for allowing its users to easily connect and share with their family and friends online. With over 2.9 billion users each spending an average of an hour per day, we ask you: Is your NGO/NPO taking full advantage of it? By attending this workshop, you will learn how to increase awareness of your organisation and build your community through: utilising several types of Facebook posts; creating a Facebook marketing strategy and tracking its results; driving awareness and showing customers you care using Messenger; and effectively advertising on Facebook.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Differentiate between the types of Facebook posts: You will learn the different types of Facebook posts and understand that the type of post they use matters.

• Create a Facebook Marketing Strategy and Track its Results: You will better understand the importance of consistent engagement in gaining reach and a following.

• Turn Conversation into Connection with Messenger: You will learn how to get personal, build relationships, and better engage with your audience with Facebook Messenger.

• Effectively Advertise on Facebook: You will learn about the different types of Facebook ads and how to advertise effectively on Facebook.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

● Participants should have a Facebook page for their organization and have back-end/admin access to this page.

● Participants are required to bring a fully charged laptop.

● Participants should have a general knowledge of their NGO (i.e., brief history/about; contact information; opening hours, etc.) and access to pictures that best represent their organization (i.e., logos, pictures of events, etc).
